Won't Return to This Unit
This review is based on our stay of July19, 2025 through July 26, 2025. The staff at Lewis Realty is very good. Kept us informed of check in, codes for access, etc. Very responsive to questions, concerns and issues. We would work with this company again. The location of the property is convenient and located in nice area with great view of the ocean. However, upon the first twenty-four hours of our stay there are several issues that we discovered. Blinds in two of three bedrooms area broken and/or do not work properly. Light in laundry area does not function properly. One has to play with the switch in order for the light to turn on. In one bathroom the light fixture above the sink requires five bulbs. Only three are present and the open sockets for the remaining two bulbs are exposed and create a potential electrical shock hazard. The night stand light in one of the bedrooms does not work. Plug may be damaged. The light above the dining table has a faulty switch. You can turn it on but you have to play with the switch to shut it off. Dining table and coffee table had finger prints and moisture and food stains on glass. There is food between glass and coffee table frame. Closet shelf propped up in bedroom closet. Beetles were present in front of sliding door, behind bookshelf in living area and in the closet where cleaning equipment is kept. There is a broken wicker chair in living area and a broken chair on rear deck. Poorly patched wall in living room area near windows. Large horizontal crack in wall in master / main bedroom. Peeling paint in master bedroom closet. Wallpaper peeling in bathrooms. Poorly swept / vacuumed upon arrival. Sand in bedrooms and dirty carpet. Even found what appears to be some type of pill to treat blood pressure, or a pill to treat opioid addiction or a strong opioid pain reliever on the floor of the master bedroom. Sunday morning, we went to use cooking utensils to make breakfast and found old caked on food on a spatula. A few other cooking utensils had food on them and were left in the dirty in the container by the stove. We went to Walmart and bought our own to use and cook with. Pulled a dirty glass out of the cabinet and had to wash it before we could use it. For reference and this review, I took and saved photos of these concerns. I received a phone call at 4:52 PM on Tuesday of our stay and was told that the owner of the property was sending her own maintenance man to address the concerns. No one asked if it was OK. No one asked if we had plans. We were told he was currently on his way. We had dinner plans. So, my family went to dinner while I stayed behind to wait for the individual. No one ever showed up. This is inconsiderate, irresponsible and rude. The owner advertises the home as “updated”. In my opinion, this property has not been recently updated. Given the condition of the home and issues present it does not appear that much effort is being made by the owner to properly maintain the property. Judge for yourself. Form your own opinions. I will not return to this home.
